NOLA Day 4 – October 21st, 2016

So after the breakfast fiasco yesterday. I volunteered to cook breakfast at my trailer before going out on the swamp tour.

We then loaded up and drove out to Jean Lafitte’s Swamp Tour. I was surprised by how many gators we saw. I had been on one tour before in New Orleans and during that one we only saw one small gator. Although our boat captain was joking around about feeding the Alligators marshmallows and was calling for the gators to come out. He implied that wasn’t legal to do however I’m not sure when there’s no one around what happens in the swamp stays in the swamp.

From here we drove back into New Orleans and went to the Aquarium. I’m getting quite a list of Aquariums under my belt. New Orleans, Georgia, Tulsa, and Denver. I’m sure there are others.

After yesterday and today everyone was tired. So we all went back to our various abodes and took naps until dinner.

We were going to go to the Rum house on Magazine street for dinner but when we got there the wait was a half hour to get in. So we bounced next door to the Red Dog Diner.

The food there was delicious. We had one problem though.  One persons meal was forgotten and didn’t come out with all the other dinners. They ended up comping us desserts so that made up for the mistake. Although after the mistake they were a little embarrassed and therefore didn’t really come around as much afterwards as we probably needed.

Anyway, another great day in the Big Easy.
